Xavion

In flight, Xavion constantly imagines engine-failed glides to every runway in gliding range, and then shows you the safest-possible route as Highway-In-The-Sky to take in the event of engine failure. This, finally, gives you guidance after an engine failure that is based on energy-management all the way down, where the computer does the glide-planning for you… you just fly through the hoops to the runway.

As well, Xavion tracks other airplanes via ADS-B, and memorizes their location to track their WAKE TURBULENCE, moving the wake turbulence down and with the wind over time, and showing the wake turbulence as little spiraling tornados. Finally, an App that tracks and shows you the wake turbulence of other airplanes.

As well, Xavion gets ADS-B weather (if you have a Sagetech or iLevil receiver) and shows it on a moving map, and provides weather for all airports that report it. As well, Xavion gets METARS and winds aloft from the internet if you have a WIFI or cell signal before or during flight!

Also, Xavion checks your weight and balance, medical and BFR currency, and even estimates your takeoff distance and compares that to the length of the runway that you are about to take off on to warn you if the available length from your current location on the runway is too little for a safe take-off.

Also, Xavion estimates time and fuel burn at all different altitudes to any destination you want to go to, and shows you 3-D “highway in the sky” hoops to get there.

Xavion is free to download, and requires In-App purchase of current airport data ($9.99/month, or $99.00/year). As well, you may OPTIONALLY by a Seattle Avionics Chart Data subscription for $149.00/year, or access your EXISTING Seattle Avionics Chart Data subscription freely.

This is the most user-friendly, powerful App that I can imagine, and I love flying with it.

(We never release customer info, and the terms of use are listed at the launch of the App. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)

Flype

Flype is a new kind of flight simulator based on online maps.

Tilt your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to turn around or change the altitude, just like a joystick on a plane. The bird’s view on Flype’s map will show you flyping above the earth, in plain map or satellite style.

Store your favorite places in placemarks, or visit interesting places shared by other users.

Flype has some placemarks built in to immediately start flyping in stunning places:
• start from remote airports
• flype the Grand Canyon
• ride the streets of San Francisco
• flype up high above the earth
• no limits in altitude and flype speed
• lots of more placemarks are available in Flype’s online section

Within Flype you can
• Set Placemarks – Address will be filled automatically
• Access Online Placemarks – shared by other Flypers
• Move the map view, pinch to zoom
• View the map in different styles, including satellite

If you also have a Mac, an awesome adventure is waiting for you: with the free application “EarthGlider” you can flype around the world in stunning 3D view. Flype and your iPhone is your 3D flype control!
EarthGlider for Mac uses Google Earth to show the world. At some places, you can even flype around 3D buildings! Don’t miss it!

Visit “www.tinbert.com/Flype” for demo videos, screencasts and download of the free application “EarthGlider”, only for Mac OS X (Maverick or later).
